1 gram =$100TRILLION | Anti-Matter | Know about this Material

This Material costs $100 TRILLION !!

when ever you think of any expensive element or rather a material, you usually think of Gold, Diamonds, Platinum etc. But there are drugs like Heroine, Cocaine and LSD are much more expensive than them. Even more expensive than anything you thought of. it is something you may have not ever have heard of. this materialcalled Anti-matter. 

To put it simple, Anti-matter is the opposite of regular matter.

In the atom of a matter, the electrons(negative particles) revolve around a sphere of protons(positive sphere). But in the case of Anti-matter the protons revolve around the sphere of anti protons(also known as electrons). interesting right.this image below gives an example of a particle of Hydrogen and the Anti-matter of hydrogen(known as Anti-hydrogen)

the most efficient nuclear weapons release about 7-10% of the fuel mass into energy while Anti-matter when reacted to a matter release 100% of the fuel mass into pure energy. this could be very useful for human civilization.But anti-matter is extremely dangerous.

lets say you get a gram of Anti-matter about the size of a raisin and drop it on the ground, then it would create an explosion greater than both the Hiroshima and Nagasaki nuclear explosion combined!! this explosion could easily destroy an entire city.

Anti-matter doesn't have its use only in military field but study found out that anti-matter is capable of coring some kinds of cancer, and it can even be used as the fuel for interstellar travel which would propel the space craft at 50% the speed of light!

So why haven't we created enough Anti-matter to do any of these incredible things? The answer is that Anti-matter is very rare, extremely difficult to produce and is outrageously expensive.

Anti matter is formed naturally in the earths outer atmosphere when high energy cosmic rays from the sun impact on the atmosphere but the amount created is very tiny so it quickly reacts with matter and finishes itself and the reaction is so small that we don't even feel it.

The only practical means so far of obtaining anti-matter is to produce it artificially ourselves.but even this method is incredibly difficult and expensive.the  large hydron collidor operated by cern in Switzerland for example is one of the most complicated and expensive facility ever built is capable of producing 10 MILLION anti-protons per minute when fully operational. seems like a large amount, but this a laughably tiny amount. To produce 1 gram of anti-matter at this rate of production would require roughly a time period of a massive 100 BILLION YEARS!!

The production is only the first problem but the storage is the main problem in the case of anti-matter. it needs to be stored away from any source of matter which is nearly impossible.

lets hope that the future technology may achieve success in the case of this rare and useful material.
